A large-scale assistive device distribution camp was organized in Gogunda, Udaipur district, under the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY). Camp was conducted by the Department of Social Justice and empowerment in collaboration with ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India).

Key Highlights

• 974 senior citizens received assistive devices.
• A total of 5,421 assistive aids were distributed.
• The estimated value of the distributed equipment was approximately ₹80 lakh.
• The initiative aims to improve the quality of life, mobility, and independence of elderly persons belonging to economically weaker sections.
• Chief Guest Avinash Gehlot Sir, Hon'ble Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, stated that the government's priority is to ensure that welfare schemes reach the last person in society.

Devices Distributed

The distribution included:

• 152 wheelchairs
• 341 commodes
• 800 walking sticks
• 147 rollators/walkers
• 565 hearing aids
• 262 silicone cushions
• 825 spectacle sets
• 420 walking support devices
• Other assistive aids, taking the total to 5,421 devices.
