One Day Awareness and Sensitization Programme on Holistic Health including Yoga, Meditation & Natural therapy/Ayurveda

Place : Bhatta village in Nawada district,Bihar

The programme was organised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE) in collaboration with the Calcutta Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology (CMIG–RRTC), under the leadership of its Director Dr. Indrani Chakravortyand Samagra Seva Kendra, Bihar, headed by its Secretary Mr. Cheddi Prasad.

The programme commenced at Bhatta village in Nawada district, with a session on Yoga and Physiotherapy aimed at enhancing physical health, flexibility and mobility among older adults. Following a brief orientation, Ms. Moumita Basu conducted a body-tapping session to promote body awareness and relaxation. This was followed by Mr. Manish Kumar, who demonstrated elder-friendly yoga postures that participants could easily practice at home. The session concluded with Ms. Swaha Mitra Basu guiding participants through breathing and relaxation exercises, leaving them refreshed, energised and motivated to adopt healthier daily routines.
