Celebrating IDOP, 2025: Concluding Ceremony

Synopsis:

CMIG: RRTC on Ageing concluded her year-long celebrations of the IDOP, 2025 by orchestrating a cultural milieu at Dr. Triguna Sen Auditorium, Jadavpur University ,Kolkata on 11th February,2026. The event was uniquely organized to blend entertainment with awareness of elderly issues that the members of Team CMIG have documented from their recent on-field experience. The grand event marked the conclusion of year-long activities that CMIG undertook under the aegis of MSJ&E to celebrate in order to implement the Central Theme of IDOP, 2025. The theme is stated below:

“Older Persons Driving Local and Global Action: Our Aspirations, Our Well-Being and Our Rights”

The event was participated from distinguished stakeholders in the Geriatric Care, viz., Help Age India, Dignity Foundation and Senior Citizens Welfare Associations. It started as scheduled with Dr. Indrani Chakravarty, Secretary, CMIG delivering the Welcome Address to the coveted gathering. Her speech was accompanied by two consecutive speeches delivered by Mr Shanti Ranjan Chakravarty, President, Executive Committee, CMIG and Mr Ipsito Chakravarty, Project Director of CMIG: RRTC on Ageing. All speakers emphasized on the strategic planning and subsequent on-field implementation of the Central Theme, IDOP, 2025. The academic deliberations were followed by a series of docu dramas, music and pure entertainment meant to enchant the audience and enlighten them about CMIG's activities in the ongoing financial year. The objective of the program was fulfilled and a clear roadmap has been profiled by CMIG as to the implementation and re-enactment of her programs in the days to come.
