An Awareness and Sensitization Programme on the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 was organised in Jamui district. Participants were informed about the objectives, key provisions and significance of the Act, along with details of the Elder Line Toll-Free Helpline Number (14567). The session witnessed active participation, with several questions raised regarding legal rights, grievance redressal and implementation mechanisms. Resource persons from CMIG–RRTC addressed these queries comprehensively, ensuring greater clarity and awareness among participants.
